IT’S hard to know where you stand when it comes to nickel. The price of the metal fell as low as $US16,550 a tonne last week but this week has touched $US18,400/tonne.
Moreover, its trading has been well out of line with other base metals: last Thursday it fell by 4.3 per cent, then on Friday it rose by 5.9 per cent when all the other metals had a flat day.
