BY almost any measure, Western Australia is in the grip of a boom that could line the pockets of those willing to work the machines and mine the rocks of the resource-rich state.
But unlike some of the rushes that have dotted its past, this once-in-a-generation chance at wealth – a boom that promises $225 billion in future resource investment – has not brought workers flocking across the Nullarbor.
