Golden Dory Resources Corp. is a Newfoundland and Labrador based mineral exploration company focused on developing high quality gold assets in favorable North American jurisdictions including Newfoundland and Nevada.
Pequop South Project
Located in the emerging Pequop Gold District of northeastern Nevada, the Pequop South property is contiguous with Agnico Eagle’s West Pequop project which boasts drill intercepts of 141 feet grading 0.238 oz/ton gold, and lies along trend from Fronteer Gold’s Long Canyon project which has measured and indicated resources of 1.39 million oz gold, and inferred resources of 803,000 oz gold. Golden Dory can earn up to a 70% interest in the project from Fronteer Gold.
Recent developments in the district has seen Newmont Mining offer to acquire Fronteer Gold and thereby further consolidate this rapidly emerging district. Through this proposed transaction, Newmont will become Golden Dory’s partner at South Pequop. Work in 2010 successfully identified soil geochemical anomalies along with mineralized breccias similar to the host rocks along trend at Long Canyon. Golden Dory plans an aggressive exploration program for 2011 including trenching and ultimately drill testing the highest priority targets. A district map highlighting Golden Dory ground and the Long Canyon trend is shown below.
Huxter Lane – Brady Project
The Huxter Lane – Brady project is located in central Newfoundland and consists of the 100% owned Brady property, and the Huxter Lane Option where Golden Dory is earning up to a 70% interest from Paragon Minerals Corporation.
The combined project is host to at least two significant zones of near surface, intrusion hosted gold mineralization totaling 873,200 oz gold indicated and inferred at the Mosquito Hill and Reid Porphyry Zones. Golden Dory recently announced an updated resource estimate for Mosquito Hill which includes 196,250 oz gold indicated and 569,500 oz gold inferred at a cutoff of 0.3 g/t gold.
The updated resource estimate also included a first resource estimate consisting of 107,450 oz gold inferred for the adjacent Reid Porphyry Zone located 1600 metres northwest of Mosquito Hill. Both deposits are open along strike and to depth.
