Buchans Minerals of Windsor, NS, has released assay results from the last two holes at its 100% owned Plymouth manganese deposit at its Woodstock project 5 km west of the town of the same name.

The best assays came from two intercepts in hole 11-010. The core cut 11.27% Mn over 101.0 metres (from 10 metres to 111 metres) and 11.67% Mn over 78.0 metres (from153 metres to 231 metres). Hole 11-009 also returned good intersections, namely 8.61% Mn over 44.0 metres and 12.51% Mn over 78.0 metres.

Buchans said the Plymouth deposit is one of three on the Woodstock property. They were discovered in 1957, and the owner at that time put historic, non-compliant resources at 46.5 million tonnes averaging 10.9% Mn and 13.3% Fe. Both North and South Hartford deposits host roughly the same amount of mineralization at slightly lower grades.
