Atlas Iron is optimistic on China’s future

ATLAS Iron, Australia’s fourth-largest iron ore miner, continues to sell every tonne it produces and believes there is a “disconnect” between the reality in China and the negative market perception that is belting mining stocks.
Managing director Ken Brinsden, releasing the company’s quarterly report yesterday, said Atlas had not received any pushback from its Asian customers and while the iron ore price had softened, he did not believe it would fall too much further.
