AGL may still bid for NSW energy assets

AGL Energy, Australia’s largest energy retailer, said today the company hasn’t ruled out bidding for any of the New South Wales state-owned energy assets.
The Sydney-based company made the comments in response to media reports that AGL was unlikely to lodge a bid for Energy Australia, which New South Wales wants to privatise.
Managing director Michael Fraser had said Thursday that AGL may not be in a position to bid for Energy Australia because of competition concerns, but it made clear today that it hasn’t ruled out making any bids.
